Music on the Hill Community Children’s Chorus
led by artistic director Ellen Dickinson
Music on the Hill is excited to offer a new Community Children’s Chorus for all children in grades two through eight. The program will include music education, singing, rhythm reading, percussion, and group activities.
To provide an outlet for children to make music with a community secular organization
To build music literacy and skills which will be useful throughout participants lives
To build confidence and leadership skills through teamwork and a rewarding rehearsal and performance process
To offer all an opportunity to experience the joy of making music, regardless of school, town, or church affiliation
Build vocal skills including pitch and breath support
Learn basic part singing and harmony
Read printed music including rhythm and melody
Develop focus and creativity through creating and repeating melodies and rhythms
